Motorcycle Insurance

If you ride a motorcycle, you need the protection a Motorcycle Insurance policy will provide. Not only will it give you peace of mind, but most states require it. A Motorcycle Insurance policy will protect you, your bike and your passengers. In addition, your gear and accessories will be covered as well.

Whether you have a classic or customized motorcycle, a street or dirt bike, a standard or touring bike, or a cruiser or two-wheel model, you insurance coverage will include the following:

  • Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability

Damages to other vehicles, fences, property, and injuries sustained by other drivers/motorcyclists and passengers are all covered. In the event that you are sued, this will also pay for your legal expenses.

  • Comprehensive and Collision

This guarantees coverage of repairs or replacement of your motorcycle, if it is damaged or stolen. Your choice of deductible options, will determine how much you pay out-of-pocket.

  • Uninsured / Underinsured Motorist

If the accident is not your fault, the other driver is responsible and should pay for damages. But what if they don’t have any or enough insurance? That’s where this coverage comes in. This type of insurance will protect you because it will pay for damages to your motorcycle. Plus, it will cover your medical bills and any loss of wages you experience due to the accident.

  • Medical Payments

Whether an accident is your fault or someone else’s, this will pay for the medical bills you or your passengers incur. There is a range of coverage limits that you can choose.

You have the option of adding additional coverages. A Mazza Insurance agent will work with you to determine which coverages are best for you. To help you to get started, here are some of your options:

  • Total Loss Coverage for New Bike

This is a good option if your bike is no more than one model year old on a new policy and two model years old during a renewal. In the event your motorcycle is totaled, you get the full manufacturer’s suggested retail price for a brand new bike – less your deductible.

  • Personal Belongings

The personal items that travel with you can be covered too. If your belongings are damaged, stolen or lost, they will be covered.

  • Roadside Assistance and Trip Interruption

If you breakdown while riding, your bike will be towed to the nearest repair shop at no cost. Once you have Roadside Assistance coverage, you may want to consider adding Trip Interruption Coverage, since it will pay for food and lodging expenses for up to $500 (Roadside Assistance must be purchased first).

  • Enhanced Injury Protection

This will pay you up to $250 every week, for two years, if you are injured and unable to work, due to a motorcycle accident. You can add Built-in Life Insurance, so in the case of a fatal accident, your beneficiaries will receive $25,000.

  • Disappearing Deductible

You can be rewarded with a $0 deductible for for every policy term where you don’t file a claim. If you do have a claim, your deductible returns to its original amount, at the next renewal. (This coverage is not available in every state.)
